CONFLUENCE is a ritual of duration. A group of performers walk from the Southern Tip of Governors Island towards Fort Williams, along the western shoreline of the island. The performance is a marking of the Hudson River’s hydrological vulnerability and Governors Island’s waterline. It celebrates Governors Islands's location at the confluence of different water flows: East River, Hudson River, Raritan River, Buttermilk Channel, Verranzano Narrows, the Atlantic. Produced and Directed by May Joseph.
